I have always loved Olaplex No. 3 and the whole professional salon systems. Olaplex No.3 was the only “take home” product they sold, making them more exclusive and interesting, but they finally came out with more products of which I’m sure we were all waiting for. (Read below about olaplex No. 6 & olaplex No. 7)This genius brand was developed by Dr. Eric Pressly and Dr. Craig Hawker, two of the worlds leading chemists. They invented a single ingredient chemistry, that is free of silicones and oils. Olaplex No. 4 & Olaplex No.5 came out which I think is my favorite shampoo and conditioner. This is the first shampoo I used that actually feels natural instead of stripping my natural oils out of my strands which in turn make them dry and brittle.
Just yesterday, I finally tried Olaplex No. 6 and Olaplex No. 7 and all I can say is WOW. Olaplex No.6 Bond Smoother is a leave in conditioner treatment, which when using on damp hair will act as a heat protectant as well. I used it on damp hair letting it air-dry in boxer braids, the results when I took my braids out was non-frizzy beautiful shiny waves. I use it every time before I blow dry and on dry hair as well to bring some life back into it when my ends look dry.
Ok, so last one which is the cutest little product that so little goes a long way. It’s the most lightweight oil far from greasy. It looks like water ! I’m in love ! I want Everyone to try this Olaplex No. 7 Bonding oil. It is so concentrated that it provides instant non oily shine that makes color more vibrant. Locks down flyways and frizz & best part.. when using before heat, it protects up to 450 degrees!
Ever since I started using not just No. 3 but 4,5,6, & 7 that is when I saw major difference in my hair. I make sure all my color treated clients for sure are using them. Olaplex’s products are all bond builders(what hair is mainly made up of) We break the shafts of our hair by daily brushing, coloring it, and more but it is always restorable and/or preventable.
